I will be leading a six week Holiday Prenatal Yoga Series at Kali Yuga Yoga!
November 6th - December 18th Sundays 12:00pm - 1:30pm I am absolutely thrilled to be leading this series and look forward to creating a space for women to relax, revitalize, and find some time to nourish themselves and their growing family through their yoga practice. The prenatal classes are perfect for yogis of all levels of experience. This class will include restorative postures, pranayama (breathing exercises) and a peaceful, meditative atmosphere allowing you to explore and create balance in the body and mind. This class will also be beneficial for women who have recently given birth and those that are looking to conceive, so let your friends know about this special yoga series. For more information on this series, including registration information and more in-depth class information, please visit Kali Yuga Yoga Prenatal Yoga. Hope to see you there! I-33. By cultivating attitudes of friendliness toward the happy, compassion for the unhappy, delight in the virtuous, and disregard toward the wicked, the mind-stuff retains its undisturbed calmness.
- The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Translation by Swami Satchidananda Ancient yogis understood how your interactions with others can affect your overall peace of mind. The world is full of people with all sorts of diverse interests, personalities, and ever changing emotional states. It is definitely no surprise that the way you choose to respond to others can greatly affect how you feel. We have all felt the wonderful positives and the not-so-wonderful negatives that can result. The real work is figuring out how to keep more of that inner peace or at least find a quicker rebound time. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali addresses this particular issue, the maintenance of peace of mind, with ageless simplicity and clarity. As you move through your daily interactions, keep this sutra (little bead of wisdom) with you. See how it can help your mind stay calm and clear. |
