Join us for an uplifting seasonal practice of 108 Sun Salutations to refresh and recharge as we enter a new Spring! The Spring Equinox is a moment when the lengths of day and night near equanimity creating an atmosphere of balance and harmony. By practicing 108 Sun Salutations at this time we can invite fresh perspectives, personal reflection, and align our intentions with what serves us the best as we move into a new season! During this workshop, you will learn much more about the meaning behind the symbolic number 108, the energetic and astronomical components of the Spring Equinox, and be invited to let this practice be personally meaningful to you through the setting of intentions! We will divide 108 Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar A) into four rounds of 27. There will be plenty of time between each round for breaks to meditate, rest, or step outside. The physical nature of this practice does pose some level of challenge depending on the individual. The challenge is an attainable one, though! It can be empowering to wisely move through moments of physical challenge and break through mental barriers by cultivating discipline, listening to the will of you heart, and finding strength in yourself and your intentions. Many modifications will be given so you can approach the postures in ways that are appropriate for your body and practice. The pace of this practice is set by the rhythm of your own breath cycle allowing it to have a calm steadiness and to feel like an incredibly individualized moving meditation! I hope you can join us for this opening and recharging Spring Equinox practice! More information can be found HERE! Pre-Registration available Drop-in's welcome, too! Namaste
