Rebecca Carey

Yoga took root in Rebecca’s life in 2008. She felt yoga provided her with the perfect blend of physical, mental, and spiritual connection and fell completely in love with the practice. Filled with a strong desire to share the benefits of yoga with others, she completed her 230 Hr. Teacher Training at the Asheville Yoga Center in North Carolina under the guidance of Stephanie Keach and Shala Worsley in 2010. In 2014, she earned her 500 Hr. Certification through the Asheville Yoga Center.
Rebecca's teaching style is influenced by an eclectic blend of hatha yoga traditions. Her classes are predominantly a blend of creative Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative. She also has training in Prenatal Yoga, Senior Yoga, Yoga in a therapeutic approach, and Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga. Rebecca is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Cellular, and Molecular Biology and the Volunteer State Physical Therapist Assistant program. She views yoga as an art and science to address all the layers of our human system from the physical to the spiritual, and blends her background in science and love of creativity and yoga philosophy into her classes. Rebecca’s classes create an open, nurturing environment for students to explore their practices with creativity, strength, awareness, and personal freedom.
In addition to her work in Yoga and Physical Therapy, she is also an avid painter and lover of art, animals, nature, and travel.
