The Dope Yogi Evolutionary School of Yoga was created to offer a learning environment that inspires personal growth, inner strength, and a foundation to becoming a confident and skillful leader.
When choosing a teacher, experience matters. Nicole Gheorghe and Rebecca Carey are highly trained in the style of vinyasa yoga, and have over 20 years of experience combined in teaching and training.
We will use the methods of modern vinyasa yoga and traditional self-inquiry and mindfulness practices to develop a deeper understanding of the yoga practice and of ourselves. This training will provide you with all the tools and techniques you need to confidently begin teaching yoga. We will develop skills that will help you to be an effective and safe yoga teacher, with support, compassion, and care for your students, and for yourself.

Meet Your Leaders
Nicole Gheorghe Doering is the co-creator and editor of the inspirational brand, Dope Yogi. Nicole was introduced to yoga by her mother (a longtime yogi) at the young age of 9 years old, and has been practicing ever since. After years of witnessing the impact of her practice in her own life, Nicole felt compelled to share what she was experiencing through yoga. In 2011, she completed her first teacher training through Asheville Yoga Center and has been teaching and training ever since.
Amongst others, her current teachers are Jason Crandell and Shiva Rea. Nicole’s teaching style is a balanced blend between technical and creative, in the style of vinyasa yoga, and her classes are a unique yoga experience that will leave you feeling inspired and connected, strong and vibrant. Nicole believes that the practice of yoga allows us to develop and maintain a sense of balance and clarity in all aspects of life. Nicole has a bachelor's degree in business and fashion, but has been teaching yoga fulltime for over a decade. Outside of yoga, Nicole loves spending time in nature and doing anything creative. She writes, reads, cooks, and spends lots of time cuddling her dogs. |
Yoga took root in Rebecca’s life in 2008. She felt yoga provided her with the perfect blend of physical, mental, and spiritual connection and fell completely in love with the practice. Filled with a strong desire to share the benefits of yoga with others, she completed her 230 Hr. Teacher Training at the Asheville Yoga Center in North Carolina under the guidance of Stephanie Keach and Shala Worsley in 2010. In 2014, she earned her 500 Hr. Certification through the Asheville Yoga Center.
Rebecca's teaching style is influenced by an eclectic blend of hatha yoga traditions. Her classes are predominantly a blend of creative Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative. She also has training in Prenatal Yoga, Senior Yoga, Yoga in a therapeutic approach, and Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga. Rebecca is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Cellular, and Molecular Biology and the Volunteer State Physical Therapist Assistant program. She views yoga as an art and science to address all the layers of our human system from the physical to the spiritual, and blends her background in science and love of creativity and yoga philosophy into her classes. Rebecca’s classes create an open, nurturing environment for students to explore their practices with creativity, strength, awareness, and personal freedom. In addition to her work in Yoga and Physical Therapy, she is also an avid painter and lover of art, animals, nature, and travel. |
